A kind-hearted schoolboy has set up his own food bank after his mum needed to use one during a difficult spelll.
Seven-year-old Max Lewis spent the year purchasing food to donate to people in his area.
Max, from Bridgend, South Wales, has since inspired others to give to those in need during the festive period.
The house of his proud mum Claire Lewis, 34, was used as a drop off point during December, with one man arriving with a boot full of food.
She said: "Max donates food all year round, if we are food shopping, he insists I purchase a few more goods to put in the trolleys for the less fortunate.

"We have a reverse advent calendar which is a box that we add to daily in December rather than take.
"This year he asked me to post a photo of him with the bags filled with food so other family members can see.
"I never expected it to blow up and generate more donations."
Clare said that the local police have even got involved and brought food over to their house.
"I am amazed by the power of Facebook - the original post only had 11 shares but I posted in many local groups too," she continued.

"I have had hundreds of messages from kind strangers who have dropped food off in a box we put outside.
"Our local police shared it on Twitter too. Max is chuffed because he loves to help people - he donates clothes and toys to the local charity shop every few months too.
"We can't thank everyone enough - they've helped fill many people's cupboards this Christmas.
"People have also donated money via just giving or given me cash to put towards more food as they don't have time to shop themselves.

"It is amazing to see the community come together - over £200 has been raised."
The schoolboy and his older sister Emme, 10, have donated for the past three years to the North Cornelly Community Church foodbank.
This year Claire's car was full with bags full of tins, toiletries and treats.

Claire encouraged her children to help after she was forced to use a food bank once when she split with her now ex-husband almost six years ago.
She adds: "I have used a foodbank before because I was too proud to ask for help from my family.
"I've witnessed how bad it can be and it is only getting worse. My children are very generous, and they never waste food or pick something up that they don't want.

"Max is super proud and is always telling people how he helps people who can't afford food. Food banks need donations all year round and we help as much as we can.
"I have contacted Max's school and a box will be put in reception for other parents and pupils to donate all year round.
"We are super happy and I couldn't be prouder of Max!"
