Kind-hearted Dumfries youngster deliver flowers and chocolates to his neighbours

Wee Jack Kennedy has been the superstar of his street this week as he delivers cheer as well as flowers and chocolates.

The three-year-old has been going around neighbours in Dalswinton Avenue in Dumfries to try and cheer them up in these challenging times.

Jack’s mum, Amy Bassett, works at Tesco and when she is on the late shift she is able to bring home flowers and plants that are going out of date.

Jack then distributes them with a cheery grin to his neighbours, helped by gran Angela Donnelly.

Angela said: “He chooses who gets what. He loves it.”

Jack’s mum and dad, Thomas, have had to postpone their wedding until next year due to the coronavirus.

Dad Thomas said: “He’s been very popular. Amy and Jack went out and delivered chocolates we were going to use for our wedding to workmates and someone who has had to self isolate for 12 weeks.”
