Kind hearted Dublin Fire Brigade crew rescues baby bird after car flipped onto side in crash

Firefighters rushed to the scene of a car that had flipped onto its side in Templeogue today.

Dublin Fire Brigade crew discovered that the impact of the car ramming into a tree had knocked a little baby bird out of its nest on Knocklyon Road

Kind-hearted firefighters attending the scene rescued the baby bird and returned it to its nest.

The crew then used airbags to roll the car back onto its wheels.

A Dublin Fire Brigade spokesperson said on Twitter: "Knocklyon Road has reopened following a roll-over road traffic collision.

"Firefighters discovered a baby bird had fallen from its nest following the impact. The bird was returned to the nest and the vehicle was righted using airbags."
