Kind hearted Dublin Fire Brigade crew care for dog after owner becomes ill

Kind hearted Dublin Fire Brigade paramedics and gardai cared for a patient and their loyal dog in Swords after the owner became ill yesterday.

Taking to social media, Dublin Fire Brigade commended the great team effort of the emergency services to care for the ill owner and their beloved pet.

They wrote: "A true team effort today saw a patient's dog safely looked after following their human's illness.

"Passerby Kate took the dog to Swords Garda Station where Garda Niamh arranged for treats and emergency accommodation @dogsaid.

"We wish for a speedy reunion for dog and human."

People are reminded to dial 999 or 112 in an emergency.
