A cancer survivor who lost all her hair last year was left devastated after her first trip back to the salon was a botched job which cost hundreds of pounds.
Danielle Welbourne, who was treated with chemotherapy for her breast cancer last year, felt like crying after being given a catastrophic cut.
The nurse had splurged £300 on ombre hair extensions with Coco Couture Hair Extensions and Beauty, unaware that a Facebook group had been created revealing customers’ terrible experiences.
Pictures in the group reveal customers’ botched extensions and badly-applied false lashes, while some have experienced being blocked by the owners on Facebook when they went to complain.

However, when a group of selfless hair stylists from one nearby salon spotted Danielle’s story, they quickly got in touch to offer her to re-do the entire hair product for free.
The botched ‘do was half done as she was due to go back to Hull-based Coco Couture, for a top piece, but was so unhappy with the state of her hair she decided not to.
Instead, stylist Amy Varley, from M-A Hairdressing in Hessle, spent two hours using solution to dissolve the glue which had been used to bond Danielle’s extensions, leaving her in pain, and another two hours applying the new extensions.
“I’m over the moon and feel like myself again,” Danielle told Hull Live.
“I can’t express my gratitude enough.”
Danielle, a nurse, was left unable to tie her hair up after the mess it was left in which left her worrying about how she would be able to go to work, which requires for it to be tied back.

“M-A contacted me just in time - they did it all before my next face-to-face appointment,” she added.
Coco Couture has previously declined to comment on Danielle’s complaint, which has been reported to Action Fraud for investigation.
