Kim Kardashian is "genuinely happy" for her ex Kanye West has a new girlfriend, it has been reported.
The reality star, 40, is said to have insisted that Irina Shayk is is a great match for the rapper, 44.
A source told Us Weekly magazine, “Kim thinks Irina is a great fit for him. She is genuinely happy for him and wants him to move on.”
Kim and Kanye, who divorced in February of this year, share four children, North who has just turned eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three and Psalm who is two.
The family have appeared together on the global success Keeping Up With The Kardashians for the past 14 years, before the show's finale earlier this month.
Irina has a daughter, Lea, aged four, whose father is Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper. They were together for four years, before rumours emerged that he’d become close to Lady Gaga during the filming of A Star Is Born in 2019.
She previously was linked to football megastar Cristiano Ronaldo for five years before he allegedly dumped her.
Years before Kanye and Irina, 35, became a couple, the Russian model was gushing in her admiration for Kanye.
She appeared in his video for his hit Power in 2010 and then modelled his clothing range on the catwalk at the Paris Fashion Show in 2012.
She declared: “I consider Kanye West to be one of those rare people that bring new ideas into the world He brought art into music, and now he is releasing his passion for fashion and I think that it’s absolutely amazing!”
Meanwhile, Kim has let it be known that she admires how Irina has conducted herself in the media after the very public split with Cooper. A source said she was impressed with “how quiet and respectful Irina was after she broke up with Bradley,” adding the reality TV star would prefer her ex didn’t date anyone “who’s going to talk to the press.”
Only time will tell if this relationship is just a fling or is long-lasting. However, sources close to Kanye say they’re rooting for the new couple regardless. “Kanye’s friends are happy that he’s moved on and has someone new,” the insider continued.
