Kim Kardashian talks about her 'awakening' over nude photos and Paper magazine cover

Kim Kardashian says she has had a social media “awakening” and wants to stop posting so many nude and provocative pictures.

The reality television star and mother-of-four, 39, said she planned on toning down her image to protect her children and so her activism is taken more seriously.

She told New York Magazine: “I have kind of had this awakening myself. I realised I could not even scroll through Instagram in front of my kids without full nudity coming up on my feed pretty much all the time.

“And I definitely contributed to that. I mean, one of my most iconic covers was the Paper magazine one, when I was all oiled up and ripping my dress off.” Kardashian has become more political in recent years, making several visits to the White House to talk about criminal justice reform.

She lobbied President Trump to pardon Alice Marie Johnson, who was serving life without parole for drug offences, and was part of the group of celebrities who successfully petitioned for the execution of death-row inmate Rodney Reed to be delayed.

Kardashian, left, said: “I also did think, like, ‘OK, I’m here in the White House,’ and then the next day I was posting, like, a crazy bikini selfie. And I was thinking, ‘I hope they don’t see this. I have to go back there next week.’”
