Kim Kardashian sobs watching hologram of late dad Robert in heartbreaking video

Kim Kardashian has shared her emotional reaction to the hologram of her late father that husband Kanye West gifted to her on her 40th.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star burst into tears upon seeing her late dad, Robert Kardashian, in a touching video which she posted to her Instagram page.

The proud mum-of-four can be seen sitting in a line alongside her sisters Kourtney, 41, and Kendall, 24, and their momager Kris Jenner.

Meanwhile, her husband Kanye shares his birthday wishes from FaceTime as he presents Kim with the spine-tingling hologram.

Upon seeing her beloved father, who died in September 2003 - two months after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer, Kim begins to weep before placing her head in her hands, overcome with emotion.

Robert tells his second-eldest daughter that he’s so proud of her and the woman she has grown up to be in the sweet message.

“Happy birthday, Kimberly. Look at you. You’re 40 and all grown up” Robert gushes.

“You’re beautiful, just like when you were a little girl. I watch over you and your sisters and brother and the kids every day.”

The video then shows Kim thanking her thoughtful husband as she wipes the tears from her face.

“Thank you for that. Seriously, thank you. I can’t wait to see it again,” she sobs.

Sharing the video of the hologram to her Twitter during her controversial birthday bash in Tahiti last month, Kim said it was the most thoughtful gift she has ever received.

The makeup mogul penned: "For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad.

"It is so lifelike! We watched it over and over, filled with emotion."

Robert passed away at the age of 59 after a short battle with cancer.
