Kim Kardashian slams claims her family abandoned Caitlyn Jenner during I'm A Celeb

Kim Kardashian insists that her family did not abandon Caitlyn Jenner during I’m A Celebrity , claiming ITV hadn’t asked them to be involved.

Viewers were angry when Caitlyn’s only letter from home came from her dogs. And no family or friends came to meet the 70-year-old former Olympian when she left the jungle.

But reality TV star Kim, 39, right, who is Caitlyn’s stepdaughter, hit back, tweeting: “No one from I’m A Celeb even reached out and asked for letters, appearances or any-thing from any Kardashians or Jenners.”

And Caitlyn’s son Brandon Jenner, 38, said: “I think it might have been a storyline the producers wanted to fabricate in order to get more empathy for Caitlyn. That’s how that kind of TV works.”

Caitlyn’s daughter, model Kendall, 24, appears on a video call on I’m A Celebrity… Coming Out tomorrow night. It shows the pair chatting after Caitlyn left the jungle. And Kendall and sister Kylie, 22, greeted Caitlyn, left, with giant silver balloons when she got home to Malibu.

During I’m A Celebrity, Kendall wrote on Instagram : “Always rooting for you! Strongest person in the world. Just cuz I’m not posting doesn’t mean I’m not supporting.”

ITV declined to comment.
