Kim Kardashian slammed for once comparing her 72-day marriage to having cancer

Kim Kardashian was slammed for once comparing her 72-day marriage to the struggles of a teenage cancer patient.

The 41-year-old reality star and SKIMS founder hit the headlines this week after sharing her “advice” for women in business during an interview with Variety.

“Get your f**king a** up and work,” the mum-of-four fired

Back in August 2011, Kim wed Kris in a lavish ceremony, but just 72 days later, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star filed for divorce.

In an unearthed interview with The Guardian in 2012, Kim discussed the “lessons she learned” from her doomed union, and said she had spoken with the 18-year-old girl who was diagnosed with cancer.

“I think that, with any decisions in life, like, I spoke to a girl today who had cancer and we were talking about how this is such a hard thing for her, but it taught her a big lesson on who her friends are and so much about life,” Kim explained.

“She's 18. And I was like, that's how I feel.”

Furious fans on Reddit shared her comments on a thread on Thursday, and shared their frustration over Kim’s “lack of awareness”.

“What in the f**k?” one fired.

“Reminds me of when she commented on Britney’s conservatorship. Everything doesn’t need to be about you. How are people this self-absorbed and not self-aware?” another chimed in.

“As if she can't get any worse, she manages to do so. I would love to see how her stans try to defend this,” one added.

“Tone deafness has been through the roof time and again,” another stated.

Kim was recently criticised for her comments about success in business, and in a video for her interview with Variety - alongside sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian, as well as momager Kris Jenner - she gave “the best advice” for women to succeed.

“Get your f**king a** up and work. It seems like nobody wants to work these days. You have to surround yourself with people that want to work,” she fired.

“Have a good work environment where everyone loves what they do because you have one life. No toxic work environments, and show up and do the work,” Kim added.
