Kim Kardashian Skims advert 'fakes inclusivity' as her own body is photoshopped, say fans

Kim Kardashian's Skims advert has been pulled after a photoshop fail left fans accusing her of faking inclusivity.

The advertisement was pulled after fans noticed that her pointer finger looked photoshopped as she dragged it across her waist.

As her finger trails up her body, it appears to distort, and people were quick to notice.

"Yet again another video from the #Kardashian family has surfaced where Kim is selling her new Skims line and her finger literally distorts into a worm due to poor photoshopping/editing," one user took to Twitter to point out the mistake.

"I’ve spent enough time in this space now to recognise and have a keen eye for these slip ups," they continued.

"But unfortunately today, a young/fragile/impressionable mind will stumble across this ad and not see it. Instead, they will be completely consumed with comparison.."

The star was advertising her line of underwear (kimkardashian/Instagram)

Some fans filmed the video and shared it on TikTok, writing: "Who approved of this editing???" while some commented on the video saying: "This is so unfortunate because the whole message of the line is supposed to be inclusivity of all bodies and people."

However, after many complaints, the advertisement for her underwear line was immediately pulled.

"The Skims commercial that aired last week featuring the Fits Everybody collection did initially have an error as a result of the video losing its quality during the uploading process," a spokesperson for the company told Page Six.

"Immediately after it was noticed by the team, the video was pulled, and the glitch-free version was uploaded and ran for the remainder of the time on air.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused Kim and our customers."

The team gave the publication the glitch-free version of the advertisement, which featured Kim lying on her side wearing the line's underwear.

Her spokesperson insisted that Kim specifically asked that no part of her body was to be retouched.

It wasn't the first time a member of the Kardashian was accused of photoshopping their body.

Khloe - who was embroiled in an editing scandal recently - and Kylie have been constantly accused of constantly making their waists smaller.
