Kim Kardashian shares prisoners' letters of thanks over criminal reform advocacy

Kim Kardashian-West has fans all over the world - even behind bars.

The reality star-turned-lawyer took to her Instagram Stories in a now-deleted video in which she found time to read all unread letters.

The 39 year old told fans that among them were letters from inmates in the US who offered heartfelt thanks to her over her prison refomr advocacy.

Kim met with President Donald Trump several times last year as part of her push for prison reform - specifically she was backing the the First Step Act, which aims at lowering the overall number of prisoners with tweaks to sentencing.

Kim was successful -Trump signed the bill into law in December last year.

One prisoner, set for release in May 2024, told Kim: "You are appreciated."

She's also been using all her new free time amid the coronavirus lockdown to get serious about social distancing.

"I know it's California," she said, "And we've got the most beautiful weather, but we have to start to train ourselves."

Still, it wasn't all doom and gloom, as Kim was interrupted by six year old North.

"I went out!" North declared.

"You went outside in your back yard and that's totally fine," doting mum Kim laughed.

Putting on a stern face again, Kim went to warn fans of the dangers of not taking all precautions, before she was distracted by something in the background.

"Can you not jump on the bed?" she asked North, with the hint of a smile, "Give me two seconds to seriously do this."

North helped her mum deliver the rest of the message as she played in the background.

She did end on a heartfelt note.

"Honestly," Kim said, "Staying home is saving lives.

"That's what we're all trying to do here. That's it. Stay safe."

Kim is self-isolating with husband Kanye West, along with their four kids North, Saint, four, Chicago, two, and Psalm, 11 months.
