Kim Kardashian says Kanye West will always inspire her as they continue to work together

Kim Kardashian may have filed for divorce from Kanye West, but she's got no interest in ending their business relationship.

The exes have continued to work together and have remained close despite the breakdown of their marriage.

And Kim, 41, says that Kanye, 44, will always be the most inspiring person she knows.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has a billion dollar business empire thanks to her KKW Beauty cosmetics, her line of fragrances and her Skims shapewear.

It's clear she knows what she's talking about, but she still turns to Yeezy mogul Kanye for advice from time to time.

Kim opened up about her arrangement with Kanye as she teamed up with fashion designer Kim Jones, from Italian label Fendi, for a new collaboration.

Kim told WSJ Magazine’s November Innovators Issue : "Kanye will always be the most inspirational person to me.

"He has a piece of Skims himself and gives [the team] inspiration but also information. I think he enjoys the process."

Adding of the advice he gave her, she said: "He expressed that there were too many branding situations. He’s always super simple. I really wanted to condense my beauty brands. I wanted one place, one website, where everything can live."

Mum-of-four Kim has a hectic schedule between looking after her kids, studying law, filming her new Hulu reality show with her family and running her businesses.

She said: "My days are completely micromanaged to the minute. In order to get away from the kids, I will go into my office at my house and study. And then working on beauty and rebranding and Skims, constantly, I’m always in fittings and fabric meetings. My days are pretty full.... And that’s it. I love to be home; I love my weekends at home."

Admitting that she knows she's a workaholic, she added: "I get a lot of my work ethic from my dad."

Kim's collaboration with Fendi came about after she heard that the women in Kim Jones' office were fans of Skims and sent some over.

Jones then flew to Calabasas to discuss a collaboration of their brands.

In the interview, Kim also spoke about her momager Kris Jenner's involvement in her business.

She said: "If there’s a deal, it’s always my mom, me and our attorney talking it over."

Talking about the expectation that she'll take the reigns when her mum, 66, decides to retire, Kim added: "We’ve talked about it. I would assemble a team of people to take over.

"I hope it doesn’t happen for a really long time, because I’m really busy."

When she looks to her future, Kim says she doesn't imagine herself "floating on a yacht" and thinks she'll continue to work for as long as she can.

She's also dedicated to following in her late father Robert's footsteps by studying to become a lawyer.

On her future in law, she said: "We talked about it for sure when I was in college, but I wasn’t that serious. I do have aways to go.

"Hopefully one day I can start a law firm where we can help people pro bono and hire people who were formerly incarcerated."
