"I think it was just a general difference of opinions on a few things that led to this decision. And like, in no way would I want someone to think that I didn't give it my all, or not really try."

She added: "You know, we have four kids. There's nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself."

Kim insisted that the Stronger rapper will "always be family" said that her marriage to him was her "first real" one.

The business owner explained: "We have an amazing co-parenting relationship, and I respect him so much, and you know, that was my friend first, first and foremost, for a long time, so I can't see that going away.

During an episode of the final season of KUWTK, Kim discussed one of the reasons she wanted to divorce the Runaway rapper.

She said she was lonely after he moved to a ranch in Wyoming while she stayed in California.

Kim revealed: "I never thought I was lonely, and I always thought that's totally fine, I can just have my kids, my husband moves from state to state and I'm on this ride with him and I was OK with that.

"And then after turning 40 this year I realised no, I don't want a husband that lives in a completely different state to me. I thought, 'oh my God, that's when we're getting along the best'".
