Kim Kardashian's friend reportedly 'advising' on attempted takeover of Newcastle United

A friend of socialite Kim Kardashian is reportedly 'advising' the Saudi sovereign wealth fund in their proposed takeover of Newcastle United.

Carla DiBello is understood to be assisting the Public Investment Fund's (PIF) attempted acquisition of the Magpies, according to Bloomberg.

The title reports DiBello is working on the deal alongside broker Amanda Staveley, and claim she could maintain an ongoing advisory role if the takeover deal is completed.

DiBello owns consultancy firm CDB Advisory which aims to establish and promote connections between the Middle East and North America. She has reportedly been involved in deals totalling more than $250 million.

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is trying to buy the club for £340million and Magpies owner Mike Ashley is said to be mulling over what has been described as a 'serious approach'.

Alongside billionaire British brothers David and Simon Reuben, the PIF are part of a consortium in talks for a deal reportedly being brokered by Staveley.

Ashley was in the stands at the Kassam Stadium for United's recent FA Cup victory over Oxford United - only the second game he has attended this season.

The Sports Direct owner was flanked by PR man Keith Bishop and close aide Justin Barnes, along with managing director Lee Charnley.

Bloomberg reports the PIF did not "immediately respond" to requests for comments, while DiBello did not reply to emails or and Instagram message.
