Kim Kardashian's ex Ray J hospitalised with pneumonia and placed in Covid ward

Ray J is very unwell in hospital with pneumonia.

The rapper - who previously dated Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian - is currently receiving treatment in hospital after having breathing difficulties, his manager David Weintraub has revealed.

Ray J is frustrated as he has been sent to a Covid ward for treatment, despite testing negative for the virus five times, he told TMZ. He was sent to the Covid ward initially as doctors feared he had the virus as he was struggling with his breathing.

However, he was moved out of the wing two days later and is currently receiving oxygen.

Ray is asking for his fans to pray for him as he recovers from his illness and his sole focus has been getting better for the sake of his kids.

There are times where he thinks he is improving as he feels fine at six in the morning, but by 6.30am, he is struggling with his breathing again and is starting to fear the worst.

"I thought it was over. I started praying and knew God is good so I just kept praying," he explained to the website of his first few hours in hospital, where he is being kept a close eye on by doctors.

The British public will best know Ray J for his short-lived stint on Celebrity Big Brother.

The rapper exited the show in 2017, just over a week after he first entered the famous house as he claims he was suffering from terrible pain from his teeth.

At the time, Ray's manager told TMZ that he had been complaining to his housemates so much that they refused to continue filming until he was given medical help by the team.

A dentist gave Ray four painkillers, which he could take straight away before being given another four the next morning. However, the pain never subsided and producers agreed it was best if he headed to hospital.

Following that, his team claimed they were going to sue CBB' makers Channel 5 for "breach of contract" as they say he was "banned" from being able to re-enter the house after having treatment.

"We are deciding to sue because they are taking a position that is breaching the contract we agreed to," David told the Mail Online.

"They are saying due to health issues, which don’t exist with Ray that’s the reason they pulled the plug, which is utter nonsense."
