Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are set to welcome a fourth child very soon, after their surrogate went into labour.
The reality star’s older sister Kourtney confirmed the news during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show, leaving mother Kris Jenner in shock.
“So, my mum doesn’t even know this, but Kim’s surrogate went into labour, so she’s at the hospital,” Kourtney said.
The couple confirmed that they were expecting a new arrival earlier this year, and revealed that the child will be a boy.
Kim and her husband are already parents to North, five, Saint, three, and Chicago, one, who was also born via gestational carrier.
The couple have picked a series of unusual names for their three older children, and it’s safe to assume that the Kardashian-Wests will make an unexpected choice this time around, too.
Discussing the naming process with late night host Jimmy Kimmel last month, Kim explained that she usually waits “three or four days” after the birth of a child before deciding what they will be called – so don’t expect an announcement imminently.
“We all weigh in,” she told Kimmel. “I definitely take a family survey, but it’s usually after the baby’s born and we’re trying to figure out what the baby looks like.
“I usually go about three or four days nameless until I feel like it really connects.”
