Kim Kardashian 'really tried' to avoid divorcing Kanye West claims to Kathy Griffin

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are reportedly set to divorce, but it was nobody's fault, according to Kathy Griffin.

"Divorce is imminent" for the couple, who have been married since 2014, and Kim has already hired divorce lawyer Laura Wasser, according to Page Six.

Taking to her Twitter account on Tuesday night, Kathy said Kim "really tried" to make the marriage work and she "truly loves" Kanye.

Kathy told her 2.1million Twitter followers: "I think she really tried. Truly loves him. I like her.

"He certainly isn't the devil or anything, but I believe she tried everything to make it work.

"He made her laugh a lot and she embraced his eccentricities.

"She loves being a mom more than anything.

"There's my two cents."

It comes after reports that Kim is "done" with Kanye, who is staying at his ranch in Wyoming and has "no plans" to reunite with Kim in Los Angeles.

A source told the website: "They are keeping it low-key but they are done. Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks."

Kim has stopped wearing her wedding ring while Kanye takes an extended break at his ranch, it's claimed.

They added: "Now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot.

"She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign.

"Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s***, and she’s just had enough of it."
