Kim Kardashian praised for finally addressing Kanye West's vile racist outbursts

Kim Kardashian has been praised for speaking out about her ex-husband Kanye West 's racist outbursts during the season three premiere of The Kardashians.

Last year, Kanye was widely criticised for his string of vile racist outbursts in a series of offensive and erratic tweets.

He also repeatedly praised Adolf Hitler and admitted he "sees good things" in the Nazi leader during a rambling interview with US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

And the rapper's behaviour was addressed by Kim during the first episode of the third season of the family reality show, which began filming while the rapper was publicly feuding with the mother of his children.

The episode kicked off with drama as the 42 year old reality star revealed she was suffering from anxiety attacks and psoriasis flare-ups as a result of the stress brought on by the rapper.

As well as discussing how her ex Pete Davidson was "harassed" by Kanye, she also made it a point to speak about how the 45-year-old's behaviour would be tenfold more "damaging" to her children than her sex tape.

"Even just how he looks down on me for my tape and brings it up all over town, all over the media. Like, thanks for reminding people once again," she said during the show.

The mother-of-four continued: "All of his shenanigans — I don't even know what the f*** to call it — is gonna be far more damaging to the kids one day than my tape will ever be."

Viewers at home commended the SKIMS founder for speaking out, with a person on Reddit commenting: "Kim did a good thing talking about Ye first episode because this is everywhere on Twitter more views for their show."

Another said: "She is right 100% and it's important she actually said it out loud," while a third echoed: "She's gonna get backlash for that but she's totally right."

Speaking of the comparison between her sex tape and Kanye's racist remarks, another commented: "She's right what he has done and said about Jewish people and many other things the last few years IS more damaging.

"I agree with her. He has said some horrible horrible things that I think are much more damaging than knowing your parent made a sex tape. While most people's sex tapes are not made public, a lot of people do make them."

Later in the episode, Kim also admitted that she felt "a lot of guilt" for the way Kanye treated her ex Pete during their nine-month relationship.

The Kardashians return for its third season today, and episodes will be released weekly through Hulu in the US, and they will be available on DisneyPlus in the UK.
