Kim Kardashian has posted some incriminating video of Taylor Swift appearing to sign off on Kanye West’s Famous lyrics.
Last month, Kardashian West told GQ that she had the footage in her possession and on Sunday night she posted the recorded cellphone conversation. Kanye raps the line in the video: “To all my southside n****s that know me best, I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex.”
“I think this is a really cool thing to have,” West says.
“I know, it's like a compliment, kind of,” Swift replies. “Yeah, I mean, what's dope about the line is it's very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it, that's really nice.”
“I just had a responsibility to you as a friend," Kanye admits. "Thanks for being so cool about it.”
“For you to ask me if I'd be okay with it, I really appreciate it," Swift says. "I'd never expect you to tell me about a line in your song."
“Relationships are more important than punchlines, you know,” Kanye adds.
Swift also told West she would play along and tell the media that she knew about the lyrics the entire time.
However, after West played the album for the first time at a listening party in Madison Square Garden in February, a spokesperson for Swift condemned the lyrics.
“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his “Famous” on her Twitter account," the statement read. "She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, “I made that bitch famous.”
She also slammed the lyrics while accepting the Album of the Year Grammy award.
“There are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” Swift said. “But if you just focus on the work and you don't let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you're going, you'll look around and know that it was you.”
Naturally, most fans completely lost it and reacted to the video on Twitter.
