Kim Kardashian pays emotional tribute to dad with cute throwback on Father's Day

Kim Kardashian has posted an emotional message on Father's Day as she remembers late dad Robert.

The 39-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardahsians star shared a sweet throwback snap of her and sister Kourtney as young children, as they cuddle in to their father.

Kim labelled him the "ultimate dad" as she lamented his death, nearly 17 years previously.

Captioning the photo, Kim wrote: "How I wish you were here to celebrate Father’s Day together! Happy Heavenly Fathers Day to the ultimate dad of all time!"

The reality star's dad came to national prominence when he was defence attorney for OJ Simpson, a close friend, during his murder trial in 1995.

He died on September 30, 2003 just two months after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. Robert was aged 59.

In February, Kim led tributes from her sisters on what would have been Robert's 76th birthday.

Posting a black and white throwback snap of her with Robert, she wrote then: "Miss you beyond understanding. Wish you were here to see it all!"

Kim also continued to shut down rumours that there are cracks growing in her marriage to rapper Kanye West.

The coronavirus lockdown period had reportedly taken a heavy toll on their relationship but she defied her critics with a gushing post about Kanye's dad skills on Father's Day.

Kim celebrated Kanye, 43, by sharing a sweet family picture of them with their kids North, seven, Saint, four, Chicago, two, and Psalm, one.
