Kim Kardashian has admitted she was high on ecstasy when she filmed an infamous sex tape and when she married her first husband at the age of 19.
In the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 38-year-old reality TV star, who now claims to be teetotal, said she was on ecstasy when she married music producer Damon Thomas in 2000 and while filming a sex tape in 2003 with her then boyfriend Ray J.
She told sister Kendall Jenner and Scott Disick in a clip from the show: “I got married on ecstasy — the first time. I did ecstasy once, I got married. I did it again, I made a sex tape.
“Absolutely. Everyone knows it. Like, my jaw was shaking the whole time.”
Kardashian also told the pair about a wild night of partying in Ibiza alongside former best friend Paris Hilton. She revealed that the pair were at a foam party until 7am and ended up sleeping on rafts in the sea.
She said: “I definitely went through a wild phase in my late teens. I’m not like that anymore. But I still have fun — don’t get it twisted, I’m always the life of the party.”
Kardashian eloped with Thomas in 2000. They split in 2003, the year the sex tape was made. It was released in 2007, coinciding with the first season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
Talking to Oprah Winfrey in 2012, she said: “I’m aware that that’s how I was introduced to the world. It was a negative way, so I felt like I really had to work 10 times harder to get people to see the real me.”
