Kim Kardashian has hit back at her haters who criticised her for wearing a skimpy outfit to the Vatican.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashian star, 40, had visited the state wearing a revealing see-through dress with a cut-out design on the hips, waist and back.
Visitors to the Vatican are usually expected to dress modestly, and while there is no official dress code, both men and women usually cover their knees and upper arms.
Taking to her Instagram account on Thursday night, Kim shared a selection of pictures of her trip, and insisted she had dressed modestly inside St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapel.
In the first image she donned her skimpy dress and a pair of sunglasses as she threw peace signs while stood next to a sculpture.
Next she stood in the street in front of a statue, and then Kim and Kate Moss, who accompanied her on the trip, walked away from the camera and towards St. Peter's Basilica.
The next image saw them chatting on a bridge, while Kim appeared to be posing on her hotel room balcony in the next photo.
Kim and Kate were also seen posing with a group of friends.
Kim captioned the photos: "We had the most incredible experience touring Vatican City @vaticanmuseums.
"It was amazing to be able to view all of the iconic art, architecture and ancient Roman sculptures in person, especially Michelangelo's works.
"We even had an opportunity to view their private archive of robes worn by every pope in history, dating back to the 1500s.
"Thank you @ocspecial for arranging the visit.
"(Don't worry, I adhered to the dress code and fully covered up while inside St. Peter's Basilica and the Sistine Chapels)."
Kim had been slammed for wearing a skimpy outfit in the holy city, with one person tweeting: "Kimmy, have you no decency? We understand you are decorum absent, but must you find it necessary to parade your assets in this manner at the VATICAN? Disrespectful...
"How disrespectful of Kim Kardashian to show up at the Vatican with that outfit," another posted.
A third joked: "Ironic that the dress Kim Kardashian wore to The Vatican is made up of the lace handkerchiefs my Italian grandmother will use to wipe her tears away after seeing the dress Kim Kardashian wore to The Vatican."
Another posted: "So every other woman on Earth has to cover shoulders in order to even walk into the Vatican. Yet @KimKardashian strolls in wearing see through toilet paper and all's good?!? #oneruleforthem."
