Kim Kardashian had to take BREATHING LESSONS for her Met Gala look

Kim Kardashian had to take breathing lessons in order to survive wearing her ultra-tight corset style dress to this year’s Met Gala .

The reality star admitted that she was unable to sit down in the skin-tight outfit, created by French designer Thierry Mugler.

Taking to Instagram , the 38-year-old mum shared a candid shot of herself examining the outfit’s designs for the first time.

She also claimed the whole process to create the wet-look beaded dress took seven months to execute.

Kim captioned her post: “The day that I found out the Met Gala theme was “camp”, that same day we called @manfredthierrymugler the King of Camp!

“We met up in Miami right after the holidays last year and saw the sketches! I learned so much about couture from this genius man, it was beyond couture, it was art!

“7 months in the making and fittings in Montreal, Paris and LA. Corset breathing lessons from none other than Mr. Pearl. It was worth it all!!! And this was the start of a magical inspiring connection.”

Mr Pearl is an iconic corset maker, originally from South Africa, who began his career working with Thierry Mugler in New York in 1989.

Behind the scenes Met Gala footage shot by Vogue magazine confirmed Kim was unable to fully bend over once the corset part of her outfit was laced up - a mission that took three grown men.

The corset appeared so tight that fans speculated whether Kim had need some ribs removed to make it fit.
