Kim Kardashian endorses Hillary Clinton - as Republican debate was taking place

Forget about the Republican debate. The real political action was taking place elsewhere.

As the ten Republican wannabes set about each other in Cleveland, the woman they want to take on - Democrat Hillary Clinton - received the backing of Kim Kardashian.

"Excited 2 meet our next president tonight! 1st female president of the Hilary Clinton!Maybe she'll take a selfie w me," tweeted the reality star, who is married to rapper Kanye West.

It appears the model and celebrity did indeed get to meet the Democratic candidate, at a private fund-raising event in San Francisco. Shortly after her first message, she posted an image of herself and the 67-year-old. In the background stands Kanye West.
