Kim Kardashian has revealed she was reduced to tears after “nasty” comparison to Kate Middleton.
Reality TV star and billionaire businesswomen Kim was pregnant at the same time as the HRH The Duchess of Cambridge.
And the 40-year-old stressed she felt “brutalised” by news articles which likened her to a whale.
"It was really, really crazy," Kim said on the We Are Supported By podcast. "They [the newspapers] would always compare me to Kate Middleton so it would say 'Kate the waif and Kim the whale, the waif versus the whale'.
"It was so nasty. I don't think that would really fly today, but it killed my self-esteem.
“I really can't believe that this was acceptable and that this was OK, but I would sit at home and cry all the time."
Kim was pregnant with her first child North at the time, while Kate was pregnant with Prince George.
And to make matters worse for Keeping Up with the Kardashians star Kim, she was diagnosed with painful pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure and swelling).
Kim has since had three more children with rapper ex Kanye West. She welcomed Saint in 2015 and has then Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.
Kate welcomed George the same year as Kim had North, with the royal princess also giving birth to Princess Charlotte, six, two years later, followed by Prince Louis, three, three years ago.
Kim has had her fair share of problems during her high-profile celeb life.
She was robbed at gunpoint for expensive jewellery and has had a strong of failed relationships.
But one of the hardest things she found to suppress was the stress caused from her six-year marriage to Kanye.
The couple announced they were getting divorced in February and she admitted she struggled to deal with his explosive Twitter outbursts.
“It's no secret that everyone sees things in the media about my life with Kanye, but I've always been really respectful in not talking about issues that Kanye and I have,” Kim once revealed in a KUWTK confessional.
Earlier this week KUWTK fans discovered an unearthed 2013 clip of Kim making an intimate quip about the size of ex Kanye’s manhood.
Kim was having an ultrasound appointment and revealed the doctor said: “We're going to have to look around for the sex.”
Mum and KUWTK matriarch Kris Jenner questioned: "Do you see a little pee-pee?" to which the doctor replied that he didn't.
Kim then joked: "It would definitely take after the father, so you would see it.”
