Kim Kardashian confuses fans over Royal Baby as she confirms surrogate has not given birth

Kim Kardashian squashed rumours her fourth child has been born amid confusion over a text from husband Kanye West mentioning “four kids” and the arrival of a Royal Baby.

Kardashian was accused of “stealing the limelight” from the Duchess of Sussex, who gave birth to her first child on Monday morning.

The reality star tweeted: “Wait just saw news our baby boy came but that’s not true! It’s Met Monday, I’m in NYC. I would be at the hospital lol.”

Twitter users immediately sprang into action, telling Kardashian that the media was “talking about Meghan Markle” and not her soon-to-be new addition.

One wrote: “No Kim you’re confused, when they say #RoyalBaby is here they mean Harry and Megan’s baby. Your kids aren’t referred to as #RoyalBaby.”

Another said: “Nothing can steal the duchess of Sussex’s thunder today as a real royal baby arrived …”

“Let's just celebrate Harry and Meghan's baby without you shifting the ATTENTION to YOURSELF,” tweeted somebody else.

Others were quick to jump to Kardashian’s defence as they pointed out some fans – and a couple of US media outlets – were led to believe the star’s surrogate had given birth after West praised his wife in a text mentioning “four kids”.

Sharing a snapshot of their life together, West wrote: “This your life. Married with four kids. Get people out of jail. Cover of Vogue. Go to church every week with your family. Dreams come true.”

“People are so rude, E! News had 'breaking news' today on Daily Pop and they claimed Kim’s baby was here due to Kanye saying in his text they have 4 kids... so no she isn’t stealing the light from Meghan. She simply has people assume what’s going on in her life,” read one tweet.

Others told Kardashian that she “shouldn’t have to explain herself” and told “haters” to “take a look” at stories before “coming for her”.

Kardashian stepped out for the Met Gala wearing a skintight latex dress, decorated with beading, in a design by Thierry Mugler to fit in with this year’s theme, Camp: Notes on Fashion.

Her outfit drew criticism from some, with fans accusing her of “manipulating” her waist. Fierce critic Piers Morgan branded her outfit “ludicrous” and compared it to spanx as he discussed the Met Gala on Good Morning Britain.

West kept it characteristically low-key with a $40 (£30) black jacket and a pair of his brand Yeezy’s trainers.
