Kim Kardashian calls out Trump’s ‘inhumane’ policies, and it turns out she knows something he’s never bothered to learn

Kim Kardashian has spoken out against the Trump administration’s immigration policies, specifically calling out recent ICE raids in Los Angeles as cruel and unfair.

Her comments, shared on her Instagram stories, came after five days of protests in downtown Los Angeles and Paramount, a mostly Latino city in Los Angeles County, which were triggered by the raids. According to TMZ, Kardashian’s criticism centered on how the raids affected hardworking people and families, arguing that ICE should only go after violent criminals, not everyday immigrants.

The protests started last Friday with peaceful demonstrations but later turned violent. Protesters damaged property, including burning Waymo self-driving cars. The growing unrest led to a major response from the federal government and backlash from the California governor. President Trump sent thousands of National Guard troops and 700 Marines to help local police handle the chaos. Sending this many military personnel shows how serious the situation had become and how worried officials were about the increasing violence.

Kardashian’s statement stressed her deep ties to Los Angeles and her belief that immigrants play a vital role in the city’s diverse and thriving communities. She pointed out how immigrants are deeply connected to Los Angeles, both socially and economically, and said the raids unfairly targeted people who help make the city prosperous. She especially criticized how families were torn apart and how undocumented migrants were treated harshly during the raids, calling these actions cruel and unacceptable.

The intensity of the protests led Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass to set a curfew in downtown Los Angeles, starting at 8 PM on Tuesday and lasting until 6 AM on Wednesday, to try to bring back order and safety. The curfew was meant to prevent more violence and give authorities a better chance to control the situation. Sending in military forces and imposing a curfew show just how serious the unrest was and how difficult it was for local leaders to keep things under control.
