Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner’s opposing Met Gala outfits are now hilarious memes

Last night the Met Gala returned to New York City and as usual, lots of celebrities were there serving looks that ranged from the stunning to the outright bizarre.

New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attended wearing a gown that read “Tax the Rich” on the back, but hers was far from the only outfit to cause a stir.

For sisters Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner, their outfit choices were so opposing they have become meme-worthy.

25-year-old model Kendall wore a sheer rhinestone-embellished Givenchy gown that was apparently inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s dress in My Fair Lady.

Meanwhile, sister Kim attended one of fashion’s biggest events in a black Balenciaga haute couture gown along with a mask that covered her entire face and a long black train attached at the back.

The two sisters’ outfits could hardly have been more different and the pictures of the pair backstage together have become the laughing stock of the internet.

One person joked: “me and my anxiety when i go out.”

Another poked fun at an exchange between them: “‘Kendall, it’s me!’ ‘who?’”

Someone else on Twitter said: “Kim looks like the Grim Reaper coming to collect Kendall’s soul.”

In one image in particular, some people admitted they actually thought Kim was Kendall’s shadow for a moment.

Other memes were just as hilarious.
