Kim Jong Un visits China ahead of possible Trump summit

SEOUL, South Korea _ Kim Jong Un is making his fourth visit to China, state media reported, in a sign that the North Korean leader may be consulting Chinese leader Xi Jinping ahead of a possible second summit with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Kim's four-day visit to China is slated to end Thursday, China's official Xinhua News Agency said Tuesday. The North Korean leader was visiting at Xi's invitation, Xinhua said, citing the Chinese Communist Party's International Department.

Kim left Pyongyang with his wife, Ri Sol Ju, on Monday afternoon to visit China, the state-run Korean Central News Agency also said.

The trip _ Kim's fourth to China in the past nine months _ comes as Trump seeks a second meeting with Kim to restart stalled nuclear talks.
