Kim Jong-un brands US 'biggest enemy' in opening salvo to new President Joe Biden

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has pledged to expand his nuclear arsenal – and branded America his biggest enemy.

The hardline Communist dictator said he does not expect Washington to change its policy towards North Korea even when President-Elect Joe Biden takes office later this month.

President Kim, 37, said: “Our foreign political activities should be focused and redirected on subduing the US, our biggest enemy and main obstacle to our innovated development.”

Analysts believe his remarks are an effort to apply pressure on Mr Biden.

Kim enjoyed a rapport with President Trump but no real progress was made on dismantling his nuke programme.

The dictator told a meeting of his ruling Workers’ Party in the capital Pyongyang that plans for North Korea’s first nuclear submarine are almost complete.
