Kim Cattrall married: Sex And The City star weds Russell Thomas in intimate London ceremony

Kim Cattrall has married for the fourth time, tying the knot with her partner Russell Thomas in a low-key ceremony in London.

The Sex and the City star, 69, is understood to have wed the audio engineer, 54, at Chelsea Old Town Hall on Thursday, with just a dozen guests in attendance, according to People.

The intimate celebration was described as “quiet” and “understated”, with the focus firmly on the couple’s nearly decade-long relationship and the close circle of family and friends who gathered to mark the occasion.

Cattrall wore a tailored Dior suit styled by Patricia Field, her long-time collaborator and the costume designer behind Sex and the City.

The champagne-coloured ensemble featured a structured jacket and a skirt layered with dotted tulle, paired with Cornelia James lace gloves and a custom Philip Treacy hat adorned with white lattice lace and a fabric flower.

The actress appeared to debut her wedding band earlier in the week at the British Fashion Awards at the Royal Albert Hall.

The pair met at the BBC in 2016, when Cattrall appeared on Woman’s Hour to record an essay on insomnia.

Cattrall said Thomas stayed in touch after her BBC Radio 4 appearance, later following her on Twitter (now X).

“He direct messaged me,” she told Glamour in 2018. “It was very, very modern [and] it’s just been very easy.”

Cattrall has previously spoken warmly about her relationship with Thomas, telling The Times last year that she was “very grateful” for their “nice life together”.

Their relationship deepened after he travelled to her home in Vancouver, Canada, to spend time with her.

Where earlier relationships had been “instinctual”, she said their bond developed slowly and steadily.

She told the outlet: “Our lives were so separate and so different. It's a nice life and I'm very grateful for that.”

The pandemic proved a “true test” — one they weathered — and the couple now split their time between the US, Canada and the UK.

Speaking to People in 2020, she said: “I’m very comfortable around him. He’s a firecracker and he’s got a wicked sense of humor. And he’s easy on the eyes!”
