Kilwinning Rangers are hoping to strengthen their links in the community by offering free season tickets to every primary school child in the town.
Buffs boss Chris Strain personally delivered the first batch of free tickets to pupils at Whitehirst Park Primary yesterday.
Other schools set to benefit from the scheme are Abbey Primary, St Luke's, St Winning's, Blacklands, Corsehill and Pennyburn.
A Kilwinning spokesman said: "This is our first step into proper community interaction since moving (from Abbey Park to Kilwinning Community Sports Club. One down six to go."
The move follows in the footsteps of North Ayrshire neighbours Ardeer Thistle who have agreed to dish out briefs to P1 to P7 pupils at Glencairn, Ardeer, Hayocks and St John's.
That came after their ground was targeted by vandals and firebugs.
