Chris Strain reckons Kilwinning Rangers have found themselves a new predator-in-chief in Thomas Collins.
The Buffs beat off a hosts of clubs to snap up the 24-year-old frontman from League One oufit East Fife on Monday.
And Strain reckons the former Beith striker, who has penned a two-year deal, settled on Kilwinning after being sold on the club’s ambition.
“We pursued Thomas over the course of the summer and he had no end of clubs interested in him,” said boss Strain.
“I think that ultimately he was sold on the vision we have for the club and I’m absolutely delighted to bring him on board.
“He’s a real predator in the box and one thing he'll bring you is goals.

“He's massive on his fitness and at 24 his best years are still ahead of him.
"Hopefully he will enjoy them with us.”
Collins joined East Fife from BSC Glasgow last year but fell out of favour at Bayview and had a spell on loan at Stenhousemuir.
Strain added: “He did really well to earn a move to East Fife but it didn’t quite work out for him. That happens in football sometimes.
“He’s a winner, though, as he showed at Beith when he lifted both the Scottish Junior Cup and league trophies.”
