Kilwinning Rangers boss demands more of the same against Irvine Meadow after good start to season

Kilwinning Rangers boss Chris Strain wants his side to capitalise on their good start to the season with a strong performance against derby rivals Irvine Meadow tomorrow.

Meadow won both league clashes last year and Strain is desperate to avoid a repeat as he looks to build on taking four points from a possible six in the new West Premiership campaign.

Buffs followed up an opening day 3-1 win at Clydebank with a goalless draw against last season's treble winners Auchinleck Talbot in midweek.

Strain was pleased with both performances and he's demanding standards don't slip for Saturday's trip to Meadow Park.

He said: "There's no point in saying you're happy to take four points out of six if you go to Meadow Park and you don't put in a performance.

"We let ourselves down in the games against Meadow last year but we're an entirely new team this time round.

"The reality for us is that we've had a good start and we need to capitalise on that good start and take it into Saturday."
