Kilwinning Rangers announce squad shake-up as seven depart and four get chance to fight for future

Kilwinning Rangers boss David Gormley has announced a major shake-up of his squad following Saturday's West of Scotland League Cup final defeat against Hurlford.

Gormley used his post-match interview to promise supporters 'big changes'.

And today he confirmed to Ayrshire Football News who is staying on for next season, who will be moving on to pastures new, and who has been offered a chance to fight for their future.

On the way out are goalkeeper Harry Broun, striker Jamie Kirkpatrick, defender Adam Caldwell and midfielder Struan McCarthur.

They follow striker David Ramsay, defender Chris McGowan and goalkeeper Jamie Barclay in leaving the West of Scotland Premier Division club.

The futures of midfielder Ricky Hanvey, defender Finlay Anderson and forward Kyro Crawford are less certain with no new deals on the table as yet for the trio.

However, all three have been invited into pre-season training where they will be given the chance to impress.

Striker Ally McColm will assess his injury situation over the summer before a decision is made on his future.

Kieren Wood, Aldin El Zubaidi, Ben Lewis, Thomas Collins, Lewis Gardiner, Jordan Stuart, Gavin Millar and Jack McMahon are all under contract.

Meanwhile, Ayrshire Football News understands that Buffs are poised to land defender Craig Leitch from Rutherglen Glencairn.

We reported previously how proven SPFL striker Dylan Mackin is also on Gormley's radar.
