Businesses in Kilwinning are being invited to knock their heads together at a fortnightly networking gathering.
Kilwinning Business Club held their first meeting of the year on Thursday, February 20.
The breakfast meeting hosted at the Cornerhouse in Kilwinning was a great chance for local businesses to catch up, exchange business leads and network.
The KBC currently has 13 full members meeting fortnightly to discuss how to make Kilwinning a better place for business and a better place to live.
One of the successful areas of the business club has been to help out local charities and community groups.
In the first year of operation the club gave donations to Scottish Pony Partners, Aces Woodwynd, Kilwinning 19th Scouts, Kilwinning Horticultural Society, Cranberrymoss Tiny Tots, Artastic, KSC Football Youth Group, St Winnings Retirement Club and the Robertson Foundation.
The club was originally set up by companies that sponsor Kilwinning Rangers as a way to gain new customers and now also focuses on local needs as well.
This year the club will be looking at launching a Kilwinning Lottery where funds will directed back into community projects, we are hoping to launch this in the spring.
