Kiltwalk trio win cars from Arnold Clark

THREE charity fundraisers who took on the biggest-ever Kiltwalk are celebrating after they each won a brand new car thanks to sponsor Arnold Clark.

Catherine Haldane, of Parkhouse, Glasgow, Andy Stott, of Dumbarton, and Nadia Ucci, of Largs, took part in the 26-mile Mighty Stride and 15-mile Big Stroll events in Glasgow with 13,000 other walkers, raising £3.5million.

They were chosen at random by Kiltwalk organisers, who handed over a Kia Rio to each winner at Arnold Clark’s head office in Hillington.

Catherine completed the Big Stroll for the Princess Royal Maternity & Neonatal Unit as a thank you to staff who looked after her daughter.

Andy also took part in the Big Stroll, raising funds for Cash for Kids, and Nadia took on the Mighty Stride for Ardgowan Hospice in Gourock, raising funds in memory of a colleague.

Arnold Clark boss Eddie Hawthorne said: “We’re thrilled to be supporting the Kiltwalk again and even happier to supply three lucky winners with a fantastic Kia Rio.”

With a brand-new car being donated by Arnold Clark at every Kiltwalk, there are still three opportunities to win.

The remaining walks are in Aberdeen on June 2, then St Andrews to Dundee on August 18 and finishing with Edinburgh on September 15. Visit www.thekiltwalk.co.uk to sign up.
