Kilsyth Rangers 6 Irvine Vics 1: Sawyers' perfect hat-trick hits Westenders for six

Former Irvine Meadow striker Willie Sawyers bagged a perfect hat-trick as Irvine Vics suffered a drubbing a Duncansfield.

The veteran striker found the net with left and right foot finishes before rounding off his afternoon with a header.

He took just nine minutes to get on the score-sheet when he tapped home from close range with the Vics defence in a tangle.

A Daniel McKenna double before half time put Kilsyth in the driving seat and Sawyers piled on the misery after the break.

With the Vics defence horribly exposed, he beat keeper Jamie Walker with a shot low down to his right.

Vics pulled a goal back through Gabe Skeoch in 72 minutes but just four minutes later Ross Loughlin was shown a straight red card to leave the visitors with 10 men.

Sawyers took full advantage to net with a downward header and seal his hat-trick.

A miserable day for Vics was complete when Ryan Singleton turned the ball into his own net in his attempt to make a goal line clearance.
