Kilometre of major Scottish route to fully close for two weeks this month

(Image: Archives)

MORE than one kilometre of a major route in Clydebank is to fully close for two weeks this month.

The A82, Great Western Road, will shut on June 15, to allow for essential resurfacing on the road's westbound carriageway.

The closure will take place from the on-slip from Duntreath Avenue at the Great Western Retail Park to Drumry Roundabout.

It is expected that the carriageway will remain shut until Sunday, June 28.

During the time of the closure, local access, authorised work vehicles and emergency services access will be maintained.

Diversions signs are set to be in place for drivers.

West Dunbartonshire Council has asked travels to allow extra time for their journey whilst the resurfacing work is ongoing.
