He was getting ready to go to work but Singh was angry and upset at this and asked him to stay at home. He refused.
Singh began to shout and swear and smashed a mobile phone by throwing it off the ground, while a young child was present. The victim’s workmates arrived to pick him up for work but he went out and told them to leave as a result of the argument.
On returning, he discovered Singh had locked both doors of the house.

In a strange turn of events, Singh called police and stated: “I’ll f*****g drive you to work.”
She then made her way out of the house and, in doing so, smashed a China vase in the living room. Police arrived and found her in the driver’s seat of the car while her husband was back within the property. Both parties separated and were spoken to but Singh continued to shout and swear in the street.
Defence agent Paul Gallagher explained Singh has been engaging with the social work department and acknowledged his client’s behaviour was “appalling”.
