Kilmarnock UFC star Joanne Calderwood to fight for world title

Kilmarnock’s UFC star Joanne Calderwood is getting herself set for a world title fight.

She will take on Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 251 in a fight for the Flyweight title as part of a co-main event.

Kyrgyzstan-born Shevchenko boasts a 5-0 record at flyweight, compared to Jojo’s 3-1.

The location for the June 6 event has been confirmed as Perth, Australia.

The  ESPN+  event, is expected to be topped by the featherweight championship rematch between Alexander Volkanovski (champion) and Max Holloway (challenger).
