A Kilmarnock supermarket was evacuated earlier this week.
Customers and staff at Asda on the town's Queen's Drive were asked to stand outside whilst the alarm sounded on Monday afternoon.
Fire crew were called to the scene and assessed the store before giving the all-clear which allowed folk to head back in.
An Asda spokesman said: ‘’Following a fire alarm, our Kilmarnock store was closed for around 10 minutes [on Monday] afternoon whilst the fire service attended.
"Once we were assured there was no safety risk we immediately reopened the store and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.’’
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 4.05pm on Monday, May 31, to a fire alarm activation at a supermarket on Queen’s Drive, Kilmarnock.
“Operations Control immediately mobilised a fire appliance to the scene which was a false alarm."
