Kilmarnock striker Greg Kiltie eyes Hampden trip in William Hill Scottish Cup

Greg Kiltie is craving a trip to Hampden with Kilmarnock.

The attacker has rejoined the Rugby Park side after a loan spell with Championship side Dunfermline Athletic.

Now after a break away from Ayrshire, he has his eyes firmly on Queen’s Park who head down the M77 this weekend – with Scotland’s two oldest sides taking part in a fourth-round Scottish Cup tie.

It was all set to be a return for Mark Roberts to Rugby Park but he has since been replaced by Ray McKinnon.

Kiltie told the Kilmarnock Standard: “It’s good to be back – hopefully I can kick on now after my loan spells. The loans have done me well, I have played a lot of games – now it’s time to focus on Kilmarnock.

“A cup run would be massive, it’s always nice to give the fans something to look forward to.

“You always want to go far in the cup because it creates a buzz about the place.

“If you are at any club outside of the Old Firm, then getting far in a cup is unbelievable, so hopefully we can do that.”

League Two Queen's Park confirmed they have sold out their initial allocation for Saturday's tie but Spiders fans can purchase tickets from the old fitness centre on Rugby Road from 2pm on the day.

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock boss Alex Dyer has signed English striker Harry Bunn. The 27-year-old has been without a club since Bury were kicked out of the EFL in August.
