Kilmarnock schoolboy, 12, pens heartwarming letter to NHS workers

A Kilmarnock schoolboy has penned a heartwarming letter to NHS Ayrshire & Arran workers.

Named as Patryk, the 12-year-old thanks the frontline staff for their sacrifice during the coronavirus crisis.

He also admitted to sometimes forgetting to take part in the weekly clap for carers but still said he appreciates the work they do.

The Annanhill Primary pupil wrote: "Thank you for all the hard work you are doing during these tough times.

"I really appreciate that you are trying to keep us all safe and healthy even sometimes risking your own life to help us all.

"Each Thursday I try my best to go out and clap but sometimes forget but I still appreciate the work you do.

"It must be difficult to get separated from your families as I know how it feel to miss someone as I miss my grandparents from Poland.

"Thank you for all your sacrifices and for keeping us safe and healthy."
