Kilmarnock's Park Hotel restaurant reveals brand new menu following radical makeover

The Park Hotel's restaurant has revealed a complete menu overhaul as part of its radical makeover.

The Blues restaurant - situated in the shadow of Rugby Park - was unveiled in its new form earlier this month.

Diners will have their meals downstairs where the cafe and bar was based previously, instead of having a meal upstairs in the Kilmarnock venue.

A plush VIP opening marked the start of the new era at the beginning of the month.

And the brand new look wouldn't be complete without some brand new dishes to try.

The contemporary menu blends fresh food trends taking the culinary world by storm with tried and tested classics.

Starters, mains, sides and deserts all feature alongside separate menu sections for burgers, classics and a steak section.

Confit duck leg roulade is one of the options for a starter or diners can indulge in herb-crusted goat's cheese accompanied by red-onion marmalade and walnut praline. Tempura and chicken liver pate also features.

The mains boast a Korean-style BBQ pork fillet noodle stir fry or there's chickpea and roast-cherry tomato dahl with steamed rice and arctic flatbread.

The classics sections features cajun-dusted breast of chicken with steamed basmati rice or skinny fries, a crisp side salad, and curried coconut emulsion.

Slow cooked steak and ale pie is also there too along with battered haddock and triple-cooked hand-cut chips.

Deserts feature an Irish crème brule served with fresh raspberries and crumbled shortbread.

White chocolate mousse with prosecco-poached strawberries and lotus biscuit crumb could also be a favourite.

Katie Johnston, sales and events manager at the Park Hotel told the Kilmarnock Standard : "We are excited to launch Ayrshire’s latest dining venue, Blues at the Park.

"The new restaurant has taken a lot of hard-work and we can’t wait for people to come and try our new menu in our stunning new surroundings!"
