Kilmarnock pub to open beer garden with 'capacity of approximately one'

A pub has had the people of Kilmarnock in stitches this week after advertising their beer garden.

The Tartan Sheep on John Finnie Street, like many other pubs in Ayrshire, are getting set to reopen tomorrow.

However, it was their hilarious beer garden advertisement that caught people's eye.

On its Facebook page, the boozer said: "We have been inundated with enquiries about our beer garden being open.

"We are delighted to announce that the ‘beer garden’ will be open from Wednesday but with restrictions to comply with physical distancing laws.

"Therefore, the capacity will be approximately 1. First come, first served and one in, one out rules apply."

Meanwhile, most pubs and restaurants in the town will open from 11am tomorrow, with social distancing distances reduced to one metre in hospitality venues.

Many venues are doing first come, first served, whereas some will be taking bookings.

Contact your local pub to ask how they will be reopening.
