Police are treating the sudden death of a man in a Kilmarnock house as unexplained.

Officers were called Morven Avenue today at around 5.35pm following the death of a 49-year-old man.

A number of police cars and an ambulance were at the scene this evening.

Some officers could also be seen carrying out door-to-door enquiries.

Police say that investigations are ongoing and that a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal."
