Kilmarnock police issue appeal after cash theft from Spar store

Police are appealing for witnesses after money was stolen from a Kilmarnock shop.

The Spar in Onthank was sealed off on Sunday night after a man made-off with a two-figure sum of cash at around 8pm.

It’s thought that the man used a tool to open the closed till at the Meiklewood Road store.

Nobody was injured as a result of the theft.

The suspect is a male, 5ft 10in, medium build, wearing a grey hoodie with darker shoulders and navy tracksuit bottoms.

Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101, quoting incident number 3628 of Sunday, March 24.
