Kilmarnock named among most romantic places in Scotland

Kilmarnock has been named among the most romantic places in Scotland, according to new research.

Couples in the East Ayrshire town spend more on each other for Valentine’s than most places in in Scotland as Killie weighs in at ninth.

Kirkcaldy in Fife is number one on the list, whereas fellow Ayrshire towns Irvine and Kilwinning rank among the least romantic.

The figures were compiled by Lovehoney – the UK’s biggest sexual wellness brand – from spending stats on couples’ sexy gift buying in the build-up to Valentine’s.

Lovehoney spokesperson, product director Bonny Hall, said: "Couples in Kilmarnock are among the most romantic in Scotland –spending more on each other than other places in Scotland in the build-up to Valentine’s.

"Couples that play together, stay together. The key to sexual happiness is to be bold and adventurous, especially around Valentine’s Day."
